Paradise AFterCare (elementary)

Aftercare starts at 3:15 p.m. everyday.  All students must go to car line at 3 p.m. with their teacher.  Any students that remain at 3:15 p.m. will then be escorted to Aftercare to sign in.  There will be a fifteen minute grace period at the beginning for picking up your child early that ends at 3:30 p.m.  

Aftercare will run from 3:15 pm until 6 pm everyday and is now located in room 12-A.   Our highly qualified and loving Aftercare Workers have a list of exactly who is in their care at all times!  This safety procedure gives a check and balance system to ensure the safety and whereabouts of your child at all times.  We have added many new features to our program that will include the opportunity for students to work in our new room in small groups  participating in varied activities that may include crafts, games, homework and more.

Students will be given the opportunity to eat two snacks each afternoon.  The first snack is scheduled at 3:20 pm and the second snack at 4:30 pm.  Students may bring their own snacks from home or purchase snacks at our “Snack Shack” where items are priced from $.25 to $1.00.  Parents sending money in for snacks are encouraged to place those funds on their child’s “Snack Shack” account.  Funds can be sent in to your child’s teacher clearly marked with your child’s name and designated to “Paradise Snack Shack.”

Parents MUST SIGN OUT their child from our care.  We must have your signature on our attendance sheets everyday to ensure the safety of your child and accurate billing.  Students must be picked up on-time to avoid a late fee of $1.00 per minute.

In order to streamline the billing and collection of after care charges, all after care charges will be put directly onto the tuition accounts.  Aftercare will cost $.80 every 15 minutes increment.  That totals $3.20 per hour.  That is the same as last year’s price!

Families who use Aftercare on a consistent basis should consider purchasing an unlimited Aftercare Package.  This package includes:

• Aftercare services for all regular and half school days
• Childcare for other holidays that we are open during the regular school year
• The price for the 2010-11 school year is $1300 for the one-time pre-pay purchase or $1400 for the monthly installment package.

NCS has many great opportunities for our students to learn while having fun. Choose from nature camps, sports camps, computer camps, music camps and more. Take time to read through all of the exciting enrichment camps for elementary students. All registration forms should be turned into the high school office. If you choose an enrichment camp, fees must be paid a week in advance.

• Preschool Camp

• Paradise Enrichment Camps (ages 5 through 12): Rising Kindergarten through 6th grade students can come for the morning to one of the enrichment camps and then choose to stay for the afternoon and enjoy field trips to museums, pool parks, etc. Campers will enjoy the chance to make new friends, create happy memories, grow and improve skills and most of all, to have FUN!

• Athletic Camps (Elementary through 9th grade)

• Fine Arts Camps (Elementary through 12th grade)

• Middle & High School Academic Camps (6th through 12th grade)
