Alumni Greetings & Announcements 2004-05Posted 06-23-05: Hello all...I bet some of you think I fell off the end of the earth. Well, not quite. I left and joined the Air Force back in 90. In the Air Force I served for 10 years, as an Accounting and Finance Systems Administrator. Six of those years I was stationed in South Carolina where I went to the first Gulf War and met my first wife. I had two wonderful children with her. Chad Jr (12) and Brianna (9). Now I am living in Dayton Ohio, where I finished my enlistment in the Air Force, and met my second wife Sue. I have two stepsons Matt (19) and Ryan (17). Sue and I also have a child together Dylan who is 5. I call it my own HMO (Hers, Mine, Ours). I am currently a Systems/Network Administrator for Mead. Before that I worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a contractor doing System/Network Administration. Sue and I are planning on moving to Florida in the next couple of years. I can't stand the winters here with the snow and the cold. I miss the warmth and the beaches. Well, that is about it in a nutshell. I would like to hear from those of you that knew me, so send me an e-mail. Take Care!!! Posted 06-23-05: It's great to see some familiar names on these alumni pages! Hope everyone is doing well. My husband and I are proud to announce the birth of our twin girls on 6/11/05 - Symphonie Nicole and Auria Trishelle. We are certainly blessed! I probably already know the answer to this, but does anyone have information about a ten-year reunion being planned?!? Posted 06-04-05: Robbie Bates (1997 NCS grad.) and I were married in June of 2001 and are expecting our first daughter, Avonlea Charlotte Bates this September. Rob works for America II Corp. and has been for the past 4 yrs. and I have enjoyed teaching 6th grade English at NCS (once a mustang, always a mustang!). It's great to be back and hear from other alumni. Rob also leads the praise and worship for the Saturday Night Out church service at Northside Baptist. I hope everyone is doing well and please e-mail me at kelli.bates@nck12.com. Posted 05-04-05: Hello all. Just happened to be crawling through my attic the other day and found an old box of my stuff (the only place my wife lets me keep it). Spent hours looking through the old year books - brought back a lot of good memories. Would love to see and or hear from you all again. Are we ever going to celebrate a Reunion? Posted 04-01-05: Surprised to see some names I recognize on here! I have been living in New Port Richey for the past year, and working at Raymond James for about 4 years. I'm looking forward to our 20 year reunion this June. I'd love to hear from anyone who cares to write. Posted 03-11-05: As I read these greetings, I am sadly reminded of just how long ago my graduation was. In some ways it feels like a lifetime ago, yet at the same time just yesterday. I have nothing but fond memories of my days at NCS and I am thankful for the wonderful foundation I received there, not only academically, but also emotionally and spiritually. If there are any graduates from "the old days" out there, I'd love to hear from you. I have also lost touch with my best friend from high school, Sandy (Hood) Alread. If anyone knows how I can reach her, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it! Posted 03-03-05: Hello everyone! It was great to read updates from a few familiar names. I graduated with a degree in Aerospace Engineering from St. Louis University in 2003 and I am currently working for Boeing in St. Louis. I am a structural designer for the F-18. I married my best friend Josh in May of 2004. I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me, Please send me an e-mail! I am so glad NCS set up this alumni page! God Bless!!! Vanessa J. (Williams) Biggs '99 Posted 01-19-05: Became a professional singer after graduating high school and have performed continuously until 1 year ago. I am semi-retired from singing. I am an office manager of a wellness center and I am married to a wonderful man who is a deputy for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. I have a 13 year old son named Ari and a lot of animals including 9 cats, 1 dog, 5 birds, 4 rabbits, an iguana and will be purchasing a horse soon. We live on the north side of beautiful Lake Tarpon. I also have an internet business called "The Retroquarium" and specialize in vintage variety from 1900-1980's. Jennifer (Greeley) Buckley Posted 01-17-05: Hello to all the grads from 1985 - 20 years and still going stong! I am looking forward to the reunion in June. Thanks to John and Dan and the many others who are putting it together. I'm still living in St. Pete - single mom of a 13 year old boy (Ryan) whom I love and adore. I have been working for Raymond James Financial for over 16+ years and currently am the operations supervisor for the Equity Syndicate department. Believe it or not I am still in school trying to finish my BA degree in Business Management - a far cry from Vetinarian Medicine where I started. Boy did I do things backwards but I wouldn't change any of it! I look forward to hearing from others and seeing everyone in June. Andrea J. (Hertlein) Borum '85 Posted 01-11-05: Happy New Year to all from 1988! I hope the new year is filled with all the Lord has planned for each of you. My husband Jeff and I love living in Charlotte but I do miss the beaches of florida. I have to say though, I have learned to love gardening and planting bulbs since we have had the weather that will allow us that luxury. Please someone plan a reunion! We have had none and I know many others would like to attend. Our 15 year came and went and now we are approaching year 17. Have a Blessed year! Posted 11-30-04: Hey! Glad to hear that people are doing well. I'm still living in Marion, IN with my wife Renee and our son Collin (now a big Kindergartener!). Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas. I'd like to hear from anyone who remembers me - it's fun to catch up with fellow NCS Alumni. Happy Holidays! Posted 11-23-04: The NCS vs. Keswick Alumni game date has been changed. Please make a note of the new date and time. This years alumni basketball game is hosted by Keswick on December 30th, girls game to start at 5:30 P.M. followed by the older alumni boys at 7:00 P.M., and the younger alumni boys at 8:30 P.M. Hope to see you there. Thanks, Posted 11-14-04: Hello to all fellow Northside grads! I am living in Windermere, FL which is in the Orlando area. I graduated from FSU, have been married for 5 years and now have two little ladies in my life. Aubrey is 3 and Abigail is 18 months. I am a stay at home mom and that's about as exciting as it gets! I would love to hear from anyone and hope everyone is happy! Lisa M. (Curtsinger) Crain '95 Posted 11-01-04: Hey, what's going on? Nice to hear everyone is doing well. Posted 10-29-04: I just wanted to send my best to everyone. I pray that everyone is doing alright. Feel free to contact me. I would love to reunite with fellow alumni. Take care and God Bless!!! Posted 10-28-04: I hope everyone is doing well! I graduated from Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL in 2000 and am now living in Chapel Hill, NC working for a marketing firm. I've only kept in touch with 1 or 2 people from Northside over the years, but would love to hear from anyone I'd remember. Take care!!! Posted 10-23-04: Hello everyone!! It's so great to see how everyone is doing these days! I graduated from Northside in 2000 (after attending since kindergarten!) and in 2001 was part of the Walt Disney World College Program. It was so incredible! It is an internship for 7 months where the Disney company provides business classes and working opportunities throughout the Theme Parks, they also provide living accommodations! Very nice! I currently go to UCF and will graduate with a degree in Communicative Disorders in December. After graduating I hope to immediately begin Grad. School for Speech Language Pathology or Audiology at either UCF or USF. I recently became the mother of a 5 month old Boxer puppy named Mason! He is quite the handful, but well worth it! I would LOVE to hear from anyone that was in the class of 2000!! God bless!! Posted 10-12-04: It was neat to find this page (upon the recommendation of Katie Bredamus- my sister). Don't know many of you but it was nice to get updates for those I do know. I graduated from PBA in 2001, married Glenn Ansley (who I had been dating for 2.5 yrs) in March of 2002 and we moved to Wake Forest, NC for Glenn to attend Southeastern Baptist Seminary. I worked in a lab at GlaxoSmithKline for 1.5 years and was most recently in tech support at Tecan (a company that designs lab automation) until I started an accelerated Bachelor's in Nursing program at Duke for students who already have a degree. The program is only 16 months and I will finish next December. I haven't kept up with many people from good old NCS... probably out of fear for what I'll find out. Just joking. If anyone wants to get back in touch, feel free to email me. Posted 10-07-04: Its neat to read up on people! I ended up graduating from UCF in 2001 and am almost done with my MBA. I live in Orlando with my husband, Marty, (married May 15, 2004) and work at Lockheed Martin. Still running and all that stuff, of course! You can check out my silly website at www.martygaal.com/brianne. I haven't really kept in touch with but maybe one or two people from Northside but hope everyone is doing well. Posted 09-28-04: I enjoyed reading all the alumni updates on where you are and what you are doing. For all the alumni interested in being more involved in the Alumni Association of NCS, please drop me a note or call me @ (727) 458-8556. Currently, we have three annual events scheduled, but we could do more with creative ideas from our alumni. Also, I am taking names for the NCS Alumni of the Year award, presented at the Homecoming game. So if you know of an alumni of NCS you would like to nominate, please let me know. Thanks, Posted 09-21-04: Well, after perusing the messages it looks like Wallene Blizzard is the closest to my long-ago days at Northside. (It's good to know you're doing so well, Wally!) We never went far from Northside. Our children (both boys) attend NCS -- one in second grade and one in sixth. Speaking of sixth grade, does anyone out there remember OUR sixth grade -- when we still were at the church campus and just one year away from that glamorous South Campus? It's hard to believe that the "new" campus on 62nd Avenue now is considered old. How can that be? I know I'm not old. Then again, we're not far from our 25th reunion . . . Geezopetes! Ah well, if anyone from the early years of Northside is out there (especially the Class of 81), please holler. Posted 09-15-04: Hello! Anyone from grad. class 89? My wife found my old yearbook the other night, we looked through it and I got a little nostalgic... thought I'd drop a message on the alumni greeting page. cheers! Posted 08-30-2004: Hello from Michigan! I graduated from Spring Arbor University with a degree in Communications- public relations/advertising and currently am the Assistant Director of Admissions for Spring Arbor! :) I am a firm believer in a Christian education and feel this is an awesome place to work. :) I don't get back to Florida except around Christmas time, but I would love to hear from anyone who wants to write. Blessings!! Posted 08-25-2004: Greetings from Martinsville, Virginia! I am sure my dad (Mr. Bredamus) sends his regards along with the rest of my family (my mom, Tim, Kristie, and Tonya [Beaumier]). My mom, dad, brother, and myself all teach in Henry County Public Schools. They are all doing well and nowadays we spend most of our time playing with Audrey Hope Bredamus, Tim and Tonya's daughter. She was born July 22nd, 2003. We have all finally gotten used to living in the true south. I think we may have even acquired the accent. We all love living here, it is beautiful. I would love to hear how my classmates are doing! Posted 08-24-2004: Hello everyone...especially those from the class of 1987 or thereabouts. Can you believe it's been 17 years??? Sheesh, you'd think we were getting old or something. Anyway, I'm out in western Colorado which is about as opposite from Florida as you can get without leaving the planet. It's a great place to be if you like the outdoors. Currently I'm a design engineer for a company called Innovative Textiles. It's a fun job and I get lots of free string. I hope everyone else is doing well too. Lots has happened since the school days and I wonder sometimes how everyone is faring. Anyway, are we going to try and throw together a 20 year reunion? Feel free to drop me an email. I'd love to hear from you all. Posted 08-12-2004: Hey everyone, just dropping a line to see what is going on. I have been pretty busy this past year. I currently work for Bobby Hamilton Jr. in the Nascar Busch series - Sponsored by The U.S. Marines been doing a lot of traveling with very little free time. Hope to hear from some old friends. Posted 07-22-2004: Greetings everyone! I graduated from Northside in 1985. Wow! Almost 20 years ago. I am currently a family law attorney here in St. Pete and would love to hear from any of my old friends back at Northside. Also would like to obtain any info on the members in our class since next year is our 20th. Posted 07-13-2004:Hi everyone! I just graduated from Florida State with a degree in Political Science and Communications. I am currently attending Graduate School for Political Science and am working full time as a Legislative Analyst for the Florida Senate in the Majority Office. I will hopefully be attending law school in the next year or two. I hope everyone is doing well. Good luck with all of your endeavors! Posted 07-01-2004:I went to Northside from Kindergarten (1987) through Middle School (1985). I have just graduated from Brandeis University and am now headed to the USF College of Medicine in Tampa. I'd love to hear from anyone I knew back at Northside, which includes faculty. It's fun to hear about all of the things that everyone has done since NCS. Posted 06-23-2004: Hi, everybody, I don't really know who reads this and who doesn't! But it would be good to talk to anyone from high school and see how everyone is doing. Right now I am in the army over here in Colorado. I am a medical lab tech and really enjoy it, despite all of the things that are going on in Iraq. I am going to be stationed in Hawaii come September and am really looking forward to it. But anyway, I would like to hear from some people, so here is my email address: Richard.d.stier@us.army.mil Talk to you all later!
