Alumni Greetings & Announcements 2005-06
Posted 06-21-06: Is anyone starting to prepare a reunion for next year?? Class of 97? Posted 06-11-06: I hope everyone is doing well and I am eagerly waiting to hear about a 20 year reunion. I am currently living in Fort Collins Colorado with my wife of 8 years Julie and 11 month old son Dylan. After playing the Trumpet with the Dallas symphony, I have changed careers and am now a Police Officer. Please feel free to drop me a line. Posted 06-06-06: Much love and respect to all of my Northside people. I am in town working as an information tech for an orthopaedic surgeon's office. As most of you know my true passion is and always was music. I am currently dj'ing all over the bay area including Sarasota. My future plans are to start up my own record label and produce music full time. Hit me up anytime, I'd love to hear from you guys. Posted 05-24-06: Well...I don't see many entries from those early years of Northside but then again, there weren't that many of us! Hard for me to believe that I graduated 30 years ago! I've worked for the Federal Aviation Administration Air Traffic Manager for almost 22 years now after getting a BS in Biology from Milligan College in TN and an MS in Zoology from USF. I started as an Air Traffic Controller with the FAA in 1984 and worked up through the ranks and am now an Air Traffic Manager. Along the way, I earned my JD and plan to practice -probably in arbitration or mediation - after I retire from the government. Some of you probably know my sisters Gaye and Carolyn - also Northside grads...they both are doing well and have wonderful families in Southern California. I've lived just south of Atlanta Georgia for many years......married and divorced now with nine dogs! Love to hear from anyone who remembers "the old days" at the South Campus! Posted 05-22-06: Hello! Here is a brief summary of the last 16 years of my life since graduation. Went to college for three years - did not get my degree - met my wife there. Have worked in many restaurants since dropping out of college - been a manager of a Waffle House and a Huddle House. Have three kids: 2 girls and a son. Would like to know if the class of 1990 has any plans of a reunion. Posted 05-10-06: I would love to hear from my fellow classmates from the class of 1998! I hope you are well! Posted 05-06-06: Greetings, I am looking to contact Matt Train from the class of 1991. If anyone has current information on him, please e-mail me at jrogerspoetry@netzero.com. Also, for those of you interested, Steve Combs '90 owns the restaurant The Skinny Rooster, located on Clearwater-Largo Road. Drop in and say hello. Posted 05-05-06: Just wondering if the class of '81 is having a 25 year reunion, or waiting for the 30 year mark?? Even though I didn't graduate (moved the summer before my senior year) from NCS, I attended 9th-11th grade there, and was fortunate enough to make the 20 year class of '81 reunion.... and would love to come back for the next reunion. Hello to everyone from the class of 80, 81 and 82 that I know! Posted 04-22-06: My Mom (Robin Seifried Bergsma), graduated from NCHS in 1976. I was the first graduate of NCHS whose parent was an alumni! Jeremy Gardner '99 Posted 04-22-06: www.barbraandfrank.com Sharon Seifried Owens as Barbra Streisand impersonator. You can email me via this website. Sharon (Seifried) Owens Posted 04-21-06: Ok Class of '96 it's been 10 years are we going to do anything :)! I currently live in Charlotte, NC working with Opera Carolina and traveling around the US working with other opera companies and auditioning for as much as possible. I also do a lot of educational outreach for Opera Carolina. I get the privilege of going into local elementary schools and teaching their students about opera and even sometime getting them to write, compose and perform their own opera. It's amazing and I absolutely love it. I have been married for 3 years now to my best friend from a show I did in Boone, NC. We are both theater and music geeks and love every minute of it. I would love to hear from anyone from Northside. It's been a long time...Wishing all of you many blessings. Alexandra (Lexi) Walker ('96) Kirby Posted 03-15-06: It's great to get back in touch with friends from NCS. I married my best friend from college, Todd Starcher, and we'll be celebrating our 6th wedding anniversary this summer. We live in a suburb of Charlotte, NC, and after two years here, we're loving our church and growing friendships. I am teaching Juniors and Seniors part-time and loving it, and although God has allowed us to go through some struggles with my health, it has caused us to trust Him more deeply, and that's always a good thing. We're waiting on His timing for our little ones to come...so more on that sometime soon. :) Thanks to everybody who wrote updates--it's fun to find out what's going on. My email is toddandjulieanne@yahoo.com - looking forward to hearing from you. Posted 03-06-06: Hi all! Here's a quick update on me. I am now over on the east coast and am the Director of Education at Sylvan Learning Center in Melbourne and living it up in Cocoa Beach. I taught for 7 years after graduation including 2 years back at NCS and 2 years overseas in Central Asia. I come back every so often to visit my family in St. Pete. I'd love to hear from you! Posted 02-21-06: Hi everyone! My husband, Rick, and I just welcomed our first child into the world on Jan 8. His name is Noah James. I also have two stepsons, Tristen, 10, and Trevin, 8. I'm a stay at home mom and am also working on completing my bachelors degree in Elem. Educ. from St. Pete College. Posted 02-08-06: Just thought I would say hello to my friends and classmates. Drop me a line and let's catch up! Posted 02-01-06: Greetings to all and my friends in the class of '82. It’s been a most interesting (almost) 25 years since those days at NCHS. After the Air Force and endless school I finished my Ph.D. in American History. I worked in television as a Director and Technical Director for ABC, CBS and Fox TV in LA to Atlanta. I have two home Town Viewer Awards and an Emmy. I was the VP of Production for a cable network at Universal Studios and a television consultant. I currently own two syndicated radio programs "Good Health LIVE with Dr. Winnie King" and "The SciFi Zone Radio Show". I am starting my first book this year (outline down) and it should be out by the end of '06. I am also a real estate broker (the real job) for one of the largest Century 21 offices in the country. My wife is a MD and a talk show host on a nationally syndicated TV show on PBS "Keeping Kids Healthy" and has had 2 shows on Lifetime Television and has appeared on Montel & Oprah numerous times. She has an Emmy and was just nominated for 2 more Emmys on 1/30/06. We live in Windermere Florida with our 3 miniature Dachshunds. I look back at my Northside days with much fondness and I hope you do as well. As the class of '82 approaches the 25 year reunion, I am sure the nostalgia will be rushing over all of us as we prepare to meet after 25 years. You can contact me at ontv@cfl.rr.com. I hope to hear from my classmates. Class of '82 RULES ! Posted 01-20-06: While I didn't actually graduate from Northside (Graduated from Dixie Hollins), my 2 years at Northside were the best. I went to 8th grade at the "South campus" and my 9th grade was the first year at the 62nd Ave campus. Yep, a long time ago! I have continued to live here in St. Pete. Am an LPN working at a local hospital, and have 2 daughters. I'll check back to see if there's anyone I remember. Posted 01-17-06: Would love for the class of '90 to organize a reunion. We have not always been the most motivated class but we sure had fun together. Would be willing to help if others want the same. Laura (Blitch '90) Ossian Posted 12-20-05: Well, I guess it is time for an update: This past year after getting back from the Middle East I started college and earned my Associates in Business Management. I also attended and completed the police academy. I started my new carrier as a patrol officer about 6 months ago in a small town in the Dallas metroplex. I love it, it is the best job I have ever had! I would love to hear from anyone. Posted 12-10-05: I would love to hear from someone from Northside that I went to school with. Ms. Christy (Glass '96) Lawrence Posted 11-15-05: I have been married for 6 years to my wonderful husband, Matthew. We have two beautiful boys, Daniel 4 1/2 and William 2 1/2. We live in West palm beach, Florida. I am a full time mom. I would love to hear from my old classmates. Jennifer (Douglas '93) Templeton Posted 11-04-05: It's so great to see that so many of the class of 92 have posted on here! I'm still around here in Pinellas, running an architectural consulting firm. Drop an email by sometime. Posted 11-04-05: Hey everyone! Some news from us - we just had our second son, Ian Quinn Lehrian, on October 17. Just like our first son, he was born 7 weeks early. He is doing well. I hope to make it to one of the Homecomings sometime soon, but living way up in Indiana with a kid in school makes it tough to get there. I hope everyone is doing well. Drop me a line sometime! If you want to keep up with my ramblings, check out my blog at www.tlehrian.blogspot.com. Hope everyone has a great holiday season! Posted 10-28-05: Hello everyone especially all my friends from "96"! I attended Northside during my Middle School years and left Northside after completing the 8th grade. Those days are memories that will forever be with all of us. I am currently living in St. Petersburg, Florida with my four children, Monica, Andrea, Amber and Matthew. Posted 10-12-05: Hello to everyone from Northside and especially to all my friends from the class of 1989! It's been years since I've seen many of you, but you've probably heard my voice at one time or another on the radio around Tampa Bay. After spending most of the 90's living in Orlando finishing my education at UCF and beginning a career in radio broadcasting, I returned to Tampa Bay in 2000 working for Clear Channel Communications. You might have heard me as one of the morning and afternoon drive traffic reporters for radio stations Star 95.7, 970 WFLA, 93.3 FLZ, and finally in 2004 for 98 Rock. Yes... that "Randy Myers" was me! Anyway, to make a long story even longer... I jumped at a chance about a year ago to work for my good friend Larry The Cable Guy (the comedian) and now I'm his tour manager. Although I still call St. Pete home, I travel extensively with him and manage web sites as well. Drop me an e-mail anytime to say hello or see what I'm up to at http://www.brandall.com. Posted 10-07-05: I just so happened upon this page and thought I would say hi to all my former classmates. I'd love to hear from ya. I am living with the cows and crickets in Chattanooga, TN now and work for Hospice here. I hope everyone is doing well! Posted 10-03-05: I have been living in London, UK for nearly 9 years now, and really enjoy checking out what is happening at "home" via the internet. I would love to hear from any of you! My husband and I have 2 children, Abigail (7) and Samuel (4). If anyone is coming through England we would love to meet up. Email us at KDRYBONZ@aol.com. Posted 09-28-05: Hello to old friends from sunny Oregon (at least today is sunny). I hope to visit during Homecoming or December this year. Make plans to be there as well! If you have not visited the campus lately, you really should take the time to do so. I visited with Bob Dare, Mary Brandes, and Mrs. Shimko this summer. They all look great. Much at the school has changed, but memories are abundant as the core building and sport fields have really not changed much at all. Feel free to contact me anytime. Posted 09-21-05: Attention BASKETBALL and BAND alumni! Sign up for the annual NCS-Keswick Alumni Basketball Games (men’s and women’s games) and -- NEW THIS YEAR -- Student/Alumni Band Jam. Haven’t played ball or made music in a while? No matter. It’s all for fun. There will be one women’s game and two men’s games (for recent and not-so-recent grads). Band alumni will be playing alongside current NCS musicians. (Instruments will be provided for those who need them.) Don’t want to play? Come anyway, to be a fan and see old friends. Posted 09-16-05: It's almost been 20 years! That is unbelievable. I've been married to my wonderful wife Krista for 13 years and our son Eric is 4 1/2 and keeps us very busy. I didn't make it to the 10-year reunion, but I'll be there for number 20! Drop me a line. Posted 09-11-05: Hey class of '79! Life is great in Bradenton, anybody else living there? Would like to see a group of '79ers at the homecoming game this year. I haven't been to one in about 20 years. Posted 09-04-05: Hello everyone from classes '86 through '89. Wow, has time gone by fast! It still seems like yesterday I was going to band practice after school EVERYDAY, going to marching band competitions, performing in plays, concerts, district & state competitions etc. I can always look back at my high school years & know they were the greatest! Anyone that went to school with me, drop me a line & say "Hey"! Posted 08-30-05: Hey! I just ran across this and decided to post something. Right now I am finishing up at U.C.F with my marketing. It has been going well. I am also currently renewing my real estate license. I got it 2 years ago and it has been really cool to get involved with the real estate world. Other than that I am really excited to be graduating and I will possibly work for my dads company when I get out of school. I hope that everyone is doing well. Posted 08-24-05: Hello everyone. My husband Paul and I have just celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary and welcomed our second son born 2-11-05. Paul is employed by Pasco County Sheriffs Office and I am a full time mommy. Hope everyone is well and I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me. Mrs. Heidi (Gutterman '94) Monaghan Posted 07-25-05: Hello everyone. I graduated in 1985, and look back with fondness upon the wonderful experience I had at Northside - 20 years ago! I unfortunately have not been back since then (although would love to visit sometime soon), but I assume they finally finished the gym. Since leaving Northside, I have had a rather interesting life in terms of varied work experience. I have been a sergeant in the Marine Corps as an electronic technician, repaired video arcade games, taught video production at a local college, owned a television production company, produced TV commercials, produced computer animations and special effects for video documentaries, done voice-over work, raised capital for hotel deals and residential real estate, been the web-master for Healthtex/Nike Kids/Leed Kids/Jordan Kids, been a systems analyst at the world's largest clothing manufacturer, run an Internet company, been a software developer for a mystery shopping company, programmed computers for a publishing company, as well as being involved with several other exciting roles. I am currently the Chief Information Officer for MedWorkers Home Care Agency in Greensboro, North Carolina, which supplies nurses and other health-care workers. In other words, I'm 38 years old, and still not sure what I want to do when I grow up!
