Please allow time for the calendar to load entirely.
Calendar Views and Formats: The calendar can be viewed in traditional grid format or by month list format. Additionally, the calendar can be viewed in a yearly, weekly and single day format. Each individual viewing the calendar can determine the format that best suites his/her needs. You may also choose to view a single calendar by selecting "Calendars Select" near the top of the page. Double click on the calendar name you wish to view. Several options (day, week, month) for viewing are available at the bottom of the calendar. Try them out to see which works best for you. If you are looking to print a list of all the year's events, select "condensed" view and then select "year." Again, please allow time for the calendar page to render.
Planner View of Multiple Calendars: This provides a matrix view of multiple calendars. Hours of the day horizontally across the top and the list of calendars vertically along the side. Your calendars can represent any resource for allocation. The planner view allows you to quickly determine and assign available time slots.
Calendar Searching: You can search the calendar for specific events. The events found during a search will be the only ones displayed onto the calendar. This effectively provides a filter of your calendar data. For example, you could locate all events for a particular sport.
Event Categories: Each Event can be assigned to a Category. Each Category can have default color settings. Categories can be defined System-wide, or just for a particular Calendar. You can filter your view of a calendar to show only those events of a specific category. (ex: search for football events) If you do not want to see all events, you may filter out particular calendars by going to the top of the page and clicking on "Include Calendar Filter." Uncheck the calendars you do not wish to view.
Month Planner View: The month planner view allows you to see at a glance which days are in use for multiple calendars. This is very useful when scheduling resources that are allocated for full days.
Event Descriptions: You may click on underlined calendar items for a more complete description of the event. Directions to "away" athletic events have been provided whenever possible.
Important Notes: Doing a search puts the user into a "search results mode" and displays the first month where the search term is found, even if that month is in the past. The user can then can navigate to other months of interest and will stay within the "search results mode" until clicking on Normal at the top of the calendar page. In "search results mode," only matching events are displayed. When you are in "search results mode" you can navigate to other months, weeks, etc., in the calendar, and the calendar will show only the events that match your search. Thus, if you searched for events in the category Birthdays, and the result showed birthdays in July, if you click on August it will continue to show only birthdays in August. To resume Normal mode (which shows all events), click on the Normal in the upper right part of the calendar.Note: Netscape 4.xx does not handle this. If you are in search results mode and click on a different month, you also leave search results mode.Note: Using IE, Netscape 6.xx, Mozilla, or Opera, you stay in the search results mode as long as you click on other months. If your calendar is set to absolute mode or week mode, then clicking to move to a different time period will put you back into Normal mode. One useful technique is to perform a search, then click on Year and List to see a list of all of the matching events in the current year. You can then navigate to other years. Then hit Normal at the top to get back to the normal calendar display.
