Civil Air Patrol

GliderNorthside Christian School was the first Christian school to include Civil Air Patrol in its extra-curricular program.  For more than 60 years CAP has provided youth with an excellent and challenging program including leadership, aerospace education, physical fitness, moral leadership, and emergency services.  CAP is the civilian auxiliary of the US Air Force, which provides support to the individual CAP squadrons with free Air Force style uniforms and exciting orientation flights in both military and civilian air craft.

Our cadets have flown in Cessnas, gliders, and in KC135 tankers out of MacDill Air Force Base.  Our squadron activities include training camping trips, fly days, laser tag, model rocketry, and field trips in addition to our weekly Monday evening meetings.  Opportunities on the national level include flight and academic scholarships, International Air Cadet Exchange, Engineering Technologies Academy, National Flight Academy, National Emergency Services Academy, Air Force Weather Course, Hawk Mountain Ranger School, and several other opportunities.

CAP Patch

Civil Air Patrol (CAP) meets every Monday evening at 7 p.m. in the Library.  Please check the school calendar for meeting changes. Interested students (who are at least 12 years of age) may join at any time during the year.
