Welcome to Northside Christian Elementary!
Philippians 1:6 says, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you, will perform it to the day of Jesus Christ.” As a 16 year old, I accepted Christ, and that became my favorite verse almost immediately. I am confident that Christ continues to work in my own life just as I am absolutely certain that the good work begun at Northside Christian 40 years ago continues to be blessed because of the faithful God that we have committed ourselves to.
As the Elementary School Principal, I am looking forward to partnering with teachers, parents, volunteers, and our amazing students to pursue excellence. It is honoring to God to seek to do our very best academically. I will be working with our dedicated teachers to create a learning atmosphere that is caring and safe, yet which challenges our students in all of the core subjects. I am enthusiastic about strengthening our Reading and Writing programs all the way from our precious Preschoolers up to our 6th graders who are preparing for Middle School. Our students must be inspired to not settle for what is easy or comfortable, but to push themselves to achieve their own personal best.
I also believe that God would have us pursue excellence in our daily walk as Christians. Our faculty has the passion for helping children develop the character of Christ. I am proud to work alongside teachers who each have their own personal relationship with Jesus. This allows Biblical Integration to take place naturally, because the love and knowledge of Jesus will flow through everything our teachers do. I am particularly excited about developing a “Servant Leadership” program that will provide opportunities for our older Elementary students to serve our school and their younger schoolmates.
Excellence in academics and in the
spiritual lives of our students can best be achieved when there is unity
and cohesiveness among the adults who influence their daily lives. Know
that I will strive to always make myself available to meet with
parents. I want to embrace a “family atmosphere” that will help us to
lay the foundation that will affect future accomplishments. As parents,
teachers, and administration work together –all with the Lord’s leading-
students will know they have the support to become all God wants them
As I look back at my
32 years as a Christian, I have always found the Lord to be faithful. He
is where I choose to lay my confidence. I believe whole-heartedly that
many good works will begin this school year on our Elementary campus. I
would be honored to have your prayers as I set forth a vision of
excellence beginning on day one – knowing confidently that God will be
faithful to help us each step of the way.
