SINGING JOYFULLY!

More than 25 middle and high school students performed last weekend at the district Florida Vocal Association Solo and Ensemble assessments. Students are judged individually and ranked from poor to superior. Northside soloists and small ensembles came home with only top honors including seven “Superiors” and six “Excellents”. After the high school choral group "Chambers" sang, the judge gave them many compliments and with nothing left to say just asked them to sing for him again.

"Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat"

YOU MAY BE ABLE TO HELP US! This year's musical, "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat", is already underway. Students have already auditioned and practices have begun. More than 50 middle school and high school students will be participating as well as select 4th and 5th graders, and that's a lot of students to clothe, especially since each student needs three different outfits. Yes, that's more than 150 outfits.

How can you help us? Many of you may be a member of a church or know of a church/school that may have adult Bible costumes that NCS can borrow for the musical. In fact, if your church has already sponsored a musical where either Egyptian, 60's/70's Disco looking, or Biblical costumes were utilized, we would love the church's name, location, and if you have it, a contact name. A musical production is a costly event, but if you can help us with finding costumes to borrow or have other contacts in the field to help us locate costumes, you can be a great help to us. If you have any information, please contact Gina.Burkett@nck12.com or call 727-639-3751. THANK YOU!

PRESCHOOL WORSHIP

Each Wednesday the preschool students and families gather in the Northside Baptist sanctuary for a special time of worship and to learn more about the Word of God. Following chapel, the students spend time in the “Garden” digging deeper into the word. Each week students come home with an activity about the lesson. This fall students are studying the life lessons given through the book “How Full Is Your Bucket.”
