High School Academics
In a society of constant change the curriculum and programs are designed to meet the changing needs of students. Programs such as the “Young Scholars” program at the elementary and the “Distinguished Scholars” program at the high school enable NCS to meet the unique needs of the academically talented. The K.A.R.A.T. program at the high school level is intended to give students with kinesthetic learning styles an environment in which to be successful. Northside Christian School graduates have been accepted at state universities, private colleges and universities and military academies across the country. Our Academic Goals:
Designed with three specific academic tracks, all Northside graduates are prepared to succeed at the collegiate level. The academic programs offered in the high school include dual credit, honors and advanced placement courses. With flexibility in scheduling, students can take the most challenging track in a particular subject matter while staying on grade level for others. All courses emphasize skills in analysis, synthesis and evaluation of information. Combining a broad liberal arts curriculum with electives in art, athletics, communication and community services, students are given the chance to enrich their education and develop the whole person. Northside Christian School graduates have been accepted at state universities, private colleges and universities and military academies across the country. The last four graduating classes have received on average $1million in scholarship offers.
