Middle School Academics
In a society of constant change the curriculum and programs are designed to meet the changing needs of students. Programs such as the “Young Scholars” program at the elementary and the “Distinguished Scholars” program at the high school enable NCS to meet the unique needs of the academically talented. The K.A.R.A.T. program at the high school level is intended to give students with kinesthetic learning styles an environment in which to be successful. Northside Christian School graduates have been accepted at state universities, private colleges and universities and military academies across the country. Our Academic Goals:
Middle School is a time for growth and change as students transition from elementary school on their way to high school. With the needs of young adolescents in mind, Northside’s middle school is a skills-based curriculum designed to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills for life-long learning. Middle school teachers are uniquely gifted and passionate about working with students in 6th – 8th grades. During the middle school years academics are stressed. At the same time social skills and students’ emerging interests in the arts and athletics are developed. |
