Northside Christian School - A Christ Centered School of Excellence

NCS Mustang MascotIt's a Great Day to be a Mustang is a common saying heard around campus. It communicates a sense of family pride and a commitment to the school's mission and core values. These are essentials to the school's formation. The school's mission statement boasts of five key elements:

Northside Christian School, in partnership with families, exists to equip students to reach their God-given potential through outstanding academic and extra-curricular programs within a Christ-centered environment.

Where a family chooses to enroll their children is one of the most important decisions they will ever make. Northside believes that a strong partnership with parents (I Samuel 2.11) is a must in order to successfully equip students (Deuteronomy 6:6-7). The equipping process is such that the aim is to enable each student to reach (Philippians 4:13) his or her utmost best. The “reach” is challenging and daunting at times, but the outcome is outstanding achievements (I Cor.9:24, Phil. 3:13-14). A final distinction in the school's mission is the commitment to a Christ-centered environment (Colossians 2:6-7). A climate that gives honor and glory to Christ in all its practices is one that recognizes His grace and sustainability.

Middle-High BuildingAs a proud Mustang, let me share with you a few highlights of each school division. Known throughout the state of Florida for its outstanding academics and extra-curricular programs, Northside Christian School is a Christ Centered, fully accredited (AdvancED and ACSI) School of Excellence. An open enrollment philosophy encourages families with diverse backgrounds to attend NCS and be influenced by biblical principles. God's Word is the bedrock for all that NCS represents (II Timothy 3:16-17).

Beginning with an effective and unique thematic preschool program that is highly regarded by accrediting organizations, this program entwines a biblical philosophy of others first and exploratory learning for 2, 3 & 4 year olds. Enjoying the comfort of spacious activity rooms and loving preschool teachers, this program combines the best of age appropriate learning methods along with the introduction of phonics to promote a smooth transition into kindergarten.

Elementary BuildingThe elementary program guided by caring, qualified and experienced faculty members, strives to maximize each child's potential. Challenging students academically, physically, spiritually and socially is the goal (Luke 2:52). Individual attention, a strong reading emphasis, creative methodology, biblically based instruction, and a host of enrichment opportunities including class piano lessons, band classes, specialized weekly science labs, art, Spanish, and technology characterize this well-rounded division.

The middle school faculty cultivates an environment where boys and girls begin to apply knowledge and understanding coupled with critical thinking skills needed for a successful transition into the high school years. The importance of being responsible and developing godly friendships is emphasized along with continued biblical instruction that helps mold students into Christ-likeness. Opportunities in athletics and the fine arts provide a healthy environment for meaningful growth.

Dr. Don JamesAward winning programs accentuate the high school division. In addition to rigorous academic requirements that include Honors, AP and dual credit courses, NCS provides challenging bible instruction, a Distinguished Honors program, and an alternative kinesthetic approach to learning called PRAXIS. Award winning marching band and fine arts performances in addition to athletes who compete at the highest level in the state have defined NCS' commitment to excellence.

Let me invite you to experience NCS first hand and learn what over 1700 alum and families have already experienced. Please accept my personal invitation to visit our campus and meet the members of our Mustang family.
