Dr. Lanny Wilson
Lanny joined Northside for the 2018-2019 academic year. This is his first full-time faculty position. Prior to coming to Northside, he taught as an adjunct Instructor at Southern Evangelical Bible College, where he conducted courses on World Religions and Church History. He has also taught as an adjunct Instructor at Duquesne University, in which he taught courses in Faith and Reason, Theological Ethics, and Healthcare Ethics. He obtained his BA in Religious Studies from UNC-Charlotte, his Masters in Apologetics with a Concentration in Philosophy from Southern Evangelical Seminary, and his PhD in Systematic Theology from Duquesne University. He originally hails from the upstate of South Carolina and the Mountains of North Carolina. He and his wife, Jaime, have been married since 2001 and have three children - David, Ashleigh, and Ryan.
His hope is that his excitement for learning will resonate with students and prepare them for college - and life. He wants his students to be lifelong learners, able to evaluate arguments and think for themselves. His hobbies include reading, board games, video games, and golf.
