Welcome to Northside Christian Middle School

The faculty and staff at Northside Christian School understand that the middle school years are a time of significant transition for both students and parents. Students are navigating the balance between gaining independence as young adults and still relying on the support typical of childhood. Meanwhile, parents are learning to step back and give their children space to grow into their responsibilities while continuing to serve as stable, positive authority figures. Our goal is to help students understand that they are accountable for the choices they make.
Students in grades six through 12 share the same building, but middle school students have a separate lunch period and generally do not share classes with high school students. The school day runs from 8:00 AM to 3:05 PM. Similar to the high school, middle school students follow an eight-period schedule, which includes the following courses:
  • Bible
  • English
  • Physical Education
  • Math (typically Pre-Algebra or Algebra 1)
  • Science (Life Science in 7th grade, Physical Science in 8th grade)
  • History (Geography in 7th grade, American History in 8th grade)
In addition, students select two electives from options such as:
  • Concert Band
  • Choir
  • Art
  • Spanish I or II
  • Computer Applications
  • Study Hall
  • Yearbook
