Volunteer Opportunities

Get involved!  Northside Christian School has many opportunities for those who wish to volunteer their time and talents to help their children get the best education possible.

List of 10 items.

  • Administrative Offices

Is organization your specialty? You might enjoy serving with our office staff, helping with a variety of tasks such as answering phones, filing, and copying. Time is based on your availability but we would appreciate a minimum commitment of 2-4 hours once a week on a consistent basis. Please contact the school office for details.
  • Adopt-a-Grandparent

Many students do not have opportunity to be with their grandparents often and miss out on the valuable life lessons that only our seniors can provide. We welcome grandparents who would like to volunteer at specified time periods to read with, play with, and love on our children. Donated time will be determined on an individual basis.  Please contact the school office for details.
  • Athletics

Do you enjoy supporting our teams and cheerleaders by attending and cheering at the games, providing snacks for players, helping with transportation on weekend competitions, and in other ways supporting the coaches and athletes? Our large athletics program has plenty of opportunities for you to serve!  Volunteer time varies according to the sport and personal schedule.

    • Building and grounds, and landscaping care
    • Athletic Fields and Playgrounds
    • Other Projects
Please contact Alex Ramirez if you desire to serve with our facilities team.
  • Field Trips and Chaperones

Northside Christian School believes that field trips provide a valuable education experience for students and because student safety is our priority, we are now requiring all volunteers/chaperones to have a current background check waiver on file. If you, or a family member, desire to help in the classroom or attend a field trip you are required to complete the waiver.

In order to enforce this policy we will be asking all parents/family members to stop by the Office before leaving for the field trip and/or going to the classroom. In the office, we will verify the receipt of your waiver and you will be given a badge that will notify the teacher that you are permitted to attend the field trip and/or help in the classroom. Unfortunately, you will not be permitted to attend the field trip or help in the classroom without the badge. Please do not put the teacher in the position to have to turn you away. Simply stop by the office and we will get you all set up.

We know that without the help of volunteer chaperones like yourself, many field trips would not be possible.  We thank you for giving your time and support to these important activities and trust that you know we are taking these extra precautions with the safety of all our students in mind.
